This Tour is designed for all levels of photographers; beginners through to experienced amateurs. We want to give you the best highlights of Edinburgh and to help you get the best from your camera. Be it DSLR, Compact, Smart Phone, 35mm or 120mm.
Have fun learning how to take stunning photos while exploring lots of photogenic locations!
You will learn some easy composition skills, be given an understanding of how to shoot under different lighting conditions, using the manual settings on your camera and post processing advice. This is a fun, practical tour without any of the technical jargon.
The walking tour takes you through Calton Hill cemeteries, up to Calton hill, where you will see some magnificent monuments but also some stunning views of Edinburgh City, the Firth of Forth and Salisbury Crags.
From there we make our way to Holyrood House, the official residence of the British Monarch in Scotland and then meander up the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle.
The myriad of lane ways off the Royal Mile make this a Street Photographers dream location.
At the Castle, we wander down The Mound into Princes St Gardens and conclude the tour at Edinburgh Waverley.
Throughout the Tour, Bella will give you technical advice and composition tips as you walk along, pointing out oft neglected photographic opportunities. Her passion and enthusiasm for photography is contagious and we are certain that after a few hours with her, your photography skills will just keep getting better, giving you quality photographic art that you will enjoy for years to come.

ON THE DAY
Tours start at 9:30am and begin at the base of Waterloo Street, opposite the Balmoral Hotel in the heart of the Edinburgh, with a maximum of six people per group and last four to five hours. This is to ensure that you get the best experience, assistance and advice from our guide.
It is a walking tour and the pace is dictated by the group itself. Weather conditions can vary greatly in Edinburgh and can affect the running time. The tour may be rescheduled by the guide if the weather forecast is for severe conditions. Tours can and do go ahead in wet/snowy weather with appropriate clothing/umbrellas.
WHAT TO BRING
Edinburgh is a hilly city. We will be walking up steps & inclines so be sure to have a comfortable pair of walking shoes. With its varied weather patterns, you may need to be prepared for a few different weather types; Warm wind-proof top, hat and sunglasses, raincoat and umbrella.
We will have comfort stops along the way as needed, however it is advisable to bring a bottle of water & some snacks. If you have any special needs or health limitations, please contact us to discuss the tour options as we are more than happy to customize the tour/workshop route where we can.
Remember to bring your own (digital) camera with a fully charged battery and an empty memory card or film, with you on the day.

48 hours notice is required to reschedule (Subject to Availability) or Cancel.
Any cancellation or rescheduling by the client must be made in writing (through email or text message) no less than 48 hours before the workshop/tour date for a full refund.
Cancellation within 48 hours of any tour/workshop commencing will be treated as the tour being fulfilled due to booking limitations, and no refund will be offered.
For cancellation of tours due to extreme weather, an alternative date will be offered. The tour guide in charge for the day will be in contact if they deem the weather does not permit the tour to go ahead. The guide will try to contact you by phone/email address provided if any changes need to occur due to weather.
Note that tours/workshops can and do go ahead in wet/snowy weather as there are options for carrying out our services whilst being outside with appropriate clothing/umbrellas.
In the event of the specified guide being unable to attend due to illness or other circumstances beyond our control, another tour guide will be provided. If this is not possible, then the tour/workshop will be cancelled and you will be offered the choice of rescheduling or a full refund.
